The College of Karachi on Thursday introduced that it has greenlighted the continuation of its typical two-year diploma programmes, a press release issued by the varsity on this regard mentioned.

The members of the KU Educational Council additionally determined to defer the two-year affiliate diploma programme until June 2022. The Educational Council assembly was held on the Arts Auditorium and was chaired by the KU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi.

The committee contains Professor Dr Anila Amber Malik, Professor Dr Intikhab Ulfat, Professor Dr Samina Saeed, Professor Dr Maqsood Ali Ansari, Professor Dr Taseer Ahmed Khan and Professor Dr Nadeem Mahmood.

It will share its suggestions with the members of the Educational Council to formalise the curriculum for the HEC proposed diploma programmes.

Moreover, all of the members of the Educational Council strongly condemned the assertion issued by the group of faculty academics wherein they blamed the KU VC Professor Dr Khalid Iraqi for “deliberately not announcing admissions in BA, BSc, BCom, and MA programmes in colleges.”

The Educational Council noticed that choices had been taken in gentle of HEC insurance policies and the College of Karachi was ready for a clarification from the HEC on numerous agendas.

No deferment of 4-year undergraduate and 2-year affiliate levels: HEC
